الاتحاد الأوروبي: يمكن ان تشكل محادثات جنيف علامة فارقة في السبيل لإيجاد حل سياسي في اليمن (بيان)
رحب الاتحاد الأوروبي بإعلان الامم المتحدة موافقة الاطراف الرئيسة اليمنية على حضور المشاورات الجامعة التي يقودها اليمنيون بأنفسهم في 14 يونيو في جنيف.
وقال المتحدث الرسمي للاتحاد الأوروبي، في بيان صادر الثلاثاء 9 يونيو - حزيران 2015، تلقت وكالة خبر نسخة منه، إنه : "يمكن لهذه الخطوة الايجابية ان تعيد وضع التسوية السياسية الشاملة في قلب الجهود الدولية الرامية للتوصل لحل دائم للازمة الراهنة في اليمن".
وتابع البيان: "يدعم الاتحاد الاوروبي وبشكل كامل جهود المبعوث الخاص للأمم المتحدة إسماعيل ولد الشيخ أحمد لاستئناف المفاوضات السياسية الجامعة وفق المبادرة الخليجية ومخرجات الحوار الوطني وقرارات مجلس الامن ذات الصلة".
وأكد البيان أنه "وفي حالة مشاركة جميع الاطراف وبدون أي شروط مسبقة وبنوايا حسنه يمكن ان تشكل محادثات جنيف علامة فارقة في السبيل لإيجاد حل سياسي. كما أن هذه المحادثات ستكون مفتاحاُ لاستئناف وقف إطلاق نار واضح ودائم وبشكل سريع وكذلك إيصال المساعدات الانسانية وبشكل عاجل وفق مبادئ الحياد وعدم التحيز والاستقلالية".
Statement by the Spokesperson on the possible resumption of UN-led talks on Yemen in Geneva on 14 June
The United Nations has announced the agreement of the main Yemeni parties to attend inclusive Yemeni-led consultations in Geneva on 14 June.
This positive step has the potential to put a broad-based political settlement back at the centre of international efforts to reach a sustainable solution to the current crisis in Yemen following the Conference held in Riyadh on 17-19 May.
The EU fully supports the efforts of UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed to resume inclusive political negotiations, in accordance with the GCC initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
If all the parties engage without preconditions and in good faith, the Geneva talks can be a milestone on the path towards a political solution. The talks will also be key for the swift resumption of a predictable and sustainable humanitarian ceasefires, and the urgent delivery of humanitarian assistance according to the principles of impartiality, neutrality and independence.
