Joint Forces Artillery Strikes Houthi Fortifications North of Dhale

Joint Forces artillery units launched concentrated shelling targeting Houthi militia positions and fortifications in the Bab Ghalq-Hajar front, north of the Qa'tabah district, in the Dhale governorate early Thursday, escalating military operations in the northern fronts of the province.

Military sources reported that the artillery strikes hit their targets directly, coinciding with fierce clashes along the lines of contact after Houthi elements attempted to advance towards Joint Forces positions under fire cover. The sources added that Joint Forces units detected the Houthi movement and engaged them with direct weapons, forcing the attacking elements to withdraw after sustaining casualties and equipment losses.

In the Al-Fakhir front, sources indicated that artillery from the 30th Armored Brigade conducted counter-battery fire targeting Houthi firing points and the group's fighter positions in the areas of Lakam Al-Nabihat and Habil Al-Sama'i. The shelling reportedly disrupted several firing positions and hindered Houthi movements.

The Murais front also witnessed similar confrontations, where Joint Forces artillery responded to Houthi shelling that targeted several villages along the front line with mortar shells. Sources stated that the response aimed to target the firing sources and prevent the continuation of shelling on residential areas.

The northern fronts of Dhale have experienced intermittent escalation recently, with exchanges of artillery fire and clashes involving medium and light weapons. According to the sources, the Joint Forces continue to monitor Houthi movements and respond to any attempted advances or targeting of military positions and populated areas.
