Yemeni Government Forces Report Significant Gains Against Houthi Militias

Yemeni government forces launched a series of expansive military operations across multiple frontlines on Sunday, successfully securing strategic positions and repelling Houthi infiltration attempts while inflicting heavy casualties on the militia.

According to the official media center of the Yemeni Armed Forces, the operations were concentrated across several key axes. Most notably, government troops executed a three-pronged offensive in the Al-Barh front, west of Taiz, resulting in the recapture of field positions in the Kadha area. Simultaneously, forces successfully solidified their presence in the southern regions of Hodeidah province.

In a separate engagement, government troops thwarted a Houthi infiltration attempt on the Al-Dhabab front, west of Taiz. A military source confirmed that the ensuing clashes resulted in more than 20 casualties among the militia, alongside the destruction of several military vehicles and equipment.

The ground operations were bolstered by a series of precise airstrikes conducted by the government’s air wing. These sorties targeted Houthi concentrations and positions in Al-Barh, southern Hodeidah, and the western outskirts of Marib. Further strikes were reported in the Al-Labanat and Al-Alam areas, as well as the center of Al-Jawf province, causing significant attrition to the militia's personnel and military hardware.

These developments occur amid an escalation of hostilities across various fronts. Government forces maintain an active posture, balancing offensive maneuvers to reclaim strategic territory with defensive actions intended to degrade the Houthi militia's operational mobility and weaken their ability to reinforce key contact lines.
