Yemeni Government Forces Recapture Strategic Positions in Lahj Amid Failed Houthi Offensives

Yemeni government forces have successfully recaptured key strategic positions in the Al-Khazan Al-Ahmar area of the Al-Nusaira front in Lahj Governorate, following intense clashes that resulted in the retreat of Iranian-backed Houthi militias.

The Media Center of the Yemeni Armed Forces reported that artillery units conducted precise strikes against Houthi military gatherings and equipment in the Al-Sakhair sector. These operations coincided with fierce field engagements in the Ma'iq and An'an regions of the Maqatara front, where military tensions remain elevated.

Government forces further demonstrated tactical success by repelling a large-scale Houthi offensive aimed at the Al-Korba and Hejat Al-Abed supply routes. The militants had deployed significant reinforcements, including armored vehicles and a tank, but were forced to withdraw to the Al-Sharj area after hours of heavy fighting, effectively stalling their advancement.

In a related development, government troops thwarted simultaneous Houthi attacks in the vicinity of the Al-Karb and Al-Mimshah mountains on the Al-Aboos front in Hayfan District. Military sources confirmed that government forces engaged in sustained combat, inflicting substantial losses upon the militia in both personnel and military hardware.
