Southern Giants Brigades Destroy Houthi Commander's Vehicle in Lahj

Forces from the Southern Giants Brigades successfully destroyed a vehicle carrying a senior Houthi commander and his security detail on the strategic Kahboub front in Lahj Governorate.

The operation, which took place near the critical Bab al-Mandab Strait, was confirmed by the brigades' media center early Monday morning. The center released video footage documenting the precision strike, which resulted in the total destruction of the vehicle and the death of all occupants on board.

While the media center confirmed the success of the operation, it stopped short of disclosing the identity or rank of the targeted commander, nor did it specify the exact number of personnel killed during the engagement.

The strike occurred amid a broader surge in military activity, coinciding with coordinated airstrikes and drone operations conducted by government forces. According to military sources, these operations targeted Houthi positions, weapons caches, and reinforcements across various fronts in Taiz Governorate and the Kahboub region.

The Kahboub front remains a site of significant military and geopolitical importance due to its proximity to the Bab al-Mandab Strait, which serves as one of the world's most vital international maritime shipping lanes.
